Sunday Services

Morning Worship

Our morning meetings start at 11:00am and they are a traditional Salvation Army service using a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs and a Bible message, with suitable readings from the Bible matching the theme of the meeting.  We always include something to interest the children.  Anyone is welcome to attend our worship meetings, you don’t have to be a member or wear a uniform, just come along!

Arrive early! – it can get a bit busy… this photo of the end of our morning service shows! IMG_0966

Evening Worship / Fellowship

The format of our Sunday evening service varies from week to week on a monthly cycle.

Everything is open to all, and you’re assured of a heartfelt welcome.   Come and see for yourself!

The meeting themes are as follows:

1st of every Month – Café One
2nd of every month – Second Sunday Special
3rd of every month – Word on the 3rd
4th of every month – Go Forth (4th!) In Worship
5th of the month – Something Different!

More information on what these Sunday themes entail are below.

Café One

Our café church is an informal evening, with tea, coffee, and cake!!  What’s not to like?!  An opportunity for all ages to gather around a table for a chat, discussion, and worship based on the Bible – check our Weekly Bulletin for details

Second Sunday Special

Come and enjoy all the music that The Salvation Army has to offer.  This meeting will feature our Senior Band and Choir, as well as our Junior Band and Choir.   If you’re lucky, we may even have a special guest or soloist!    By the end of the evening we hope you will have experienced something special!

In the summer months, our “Second Sunday Special” moves to Page Park.

Word On The 3rd

Following a short period of worship, this evening is designed to allow us to consider and explore a passage of scripture or a topical theme in depth.  There will be an opportunity for personal reflection and response.  Of course if you have any questions, then there will always be time to ask these over a cup of tea or coffee at the end of the evening.

Go Forth (4th) In Worship

An evening that has it all! – Worship, prayer, reflection, and teaching.  There will be plenty of music and songs to enjoy, sending us into the week ahead with a spring in our step!

Something Different…..

There are only a few months in the year that have 5 Sundays.  On each of these Sunday evenings, it’s likely that we will try something a little bit different to our usual programme.  Don’t miss out – it really could be anything!………….watch out for adverts on our homepage & Facebook for details!
