The Salvation Army, Staple Hill consists of people of all ages, we welcome young people and families during the week and on a Sunday to all sorts of activities and events. They are an integral part of our church and community. It is important that we provide programmes for all ages that provide encouragement, support and opportunities to explore the Christian faith. In addition to the regular activities we also organise special family craft evenings, children’s activities during Page Park events, an annual youth residential weekend, trips and celebrations. Then, just in 2022 we launched ‘Messy Church’ which is church for all ages, and especially families young and old – check it out on the dedicated web page. Keep an eye on our news for current events.
All our children and young people leaders have received ‘Safe and Sound’ training which puts into practice the Home Office Code of Practice ‘Safe from Harm’. “The Salvation Army is concerned with the spiritual, physical, mental and social welfare of each individual. We seek to safeguard all involved in Salvation Army activities. It is the responsibility of each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of youth and young people.“ If you want to know more about our ‘Safe and Sound’ Procedures please pick up a leaflet from the foyer or click HERE.
